Coaching is a process that aims to improve performance and focuses on the 'here and now' rather than on the distant past or future. It supports people to grow themselves and their performance, clarifying their purpose and vision, achieve their goals, and reach their potential.
Along with this, a coach can act as a thought partner, a collaborator, or someone who will be honest and frank in helping you to achieve your goals.
If you are looking to develop an area of your life or your career, coaching could help you.
Some of the benefits of coaching are:
You will be able to tap into your natural strengths to find solutions
It is a safe place for clients to take those new steps on a new path
It creates improved performance and productivity thoughts and ongoing actions
It creates improved development opportunities
It improves relationships and engagement and aids team development by making individuals feel included
Just to be heard and to talk through a situation is a huge benefit to some of our clients
It will give you direction by setting goals and objectives
How Coaching Works
Coaching is not a method of teaching but rather a collaboration between the client and the coach. This journey delivers results through a relationship based on trust, awareness, and commitment.
I use active listening along with a series of powerful questions to unlock the skill of a client to maximise their potential. This guided conversation assists in setting goals, sorting out challenges and learning new behaviours.
Coaching is about a relationship. I will be responsible for the forward momentum and the depth of the conversation. You will be responsible for the learning and the action that will likely take place. Learn more about the coaching I offer.
Our practice focuses on the GROW model. This is one of several models used in the coaching industry, but essentially, they all use a similar process to support clients in helping them move forward.
What is the GROW coaching model? Grow – What do you want to achieve? Reality – Where are you now? Options – What options do you have? Will – What choice will you make?
